Text: Waiting for Godot. University of Chicago Theater.
Some elements of this text to consider:
- FYI Waiting for Godot is a play by Samuel Beckett; the ad is for a production of the play at the University of Chicago Theater.
- The dirty / scuffed boots in the center of the text play a key role in the play.
- The background is quite dark – the play is categorized as a “tragicomedy.” The darkness of the ad highlights the tragic aspect of the play but nothing in the ad alludes to the comedy.
- The lower section of the ad contains all of the necessary information for potential / actual attendees (time/location/price/ etc.)
