Text: “Charles Leclerc.” Formula 1.com. https://www.formula1.com/en/drivers/charles-leclerc.html
Some elements of this text to consider:
- This biography is on the official Formula 1 website. The bio is written in a somewhat different style than on a more neutral website. Formula 1 obviously has a business interest in promoting Charles Leclerc (or any other F1 driver).
- There are a number of dynamic / descriptive phrases in the text which are used to describe Leclerc:”dazzling array of skills, “scorching pole positions,” “flashes of ballistic pace”
- The website contains links to official merchandise and official memorabilia in a prominent location next to the photo of Leclerc.
- The phrase “put the cat among the proverbial pigeons” would be understood easily by British reader but it is not use as commonly elsewhere. Most F1 teams are based in the UK (obviously not Ferrari).
