Some elements of this text to consider:

  • FYI Waiting for Godot is a play by Samuel Beckett (an existential “tragicomedy”) and Beckett won the Nobel prize for literature in part due to Waiting for Godot. The boots play an important role in the play. The play itself is fairly challenging to understand and might attract an even narrower crowd than a typical play.
  • The design of the ad / poster is a bit on the dark side which corresponds to the content of the play itself. The darker black / purple tones match the scruffy / worn boots and some of the darker themes in the play.
  • The content of the ad is structured in a fairly simple vertical column.
  • The ordering of the information in the vertical column is fairly standard for an ad / poster of this type.
