Some elements of this text to consider:
- The basic four panel layout of the comic. This layout is more static than some other layouts that have more variety in panel shape and size. Some four panel comics like this one use the static layout for comedic effect.
- The artistic style of the art is fairly simplistic – more realistic drawings are not necessary to achieve the author’s goal(s).
- The “God…” in the first panel is not often a literal address to God – it is just a commonly used word in troubled situations. Part of the humour in this comic is that the offhand “God” actually summons God himself. And God provides the man with exactly what he asks for but rejects the woman.
