Text: “He as his Mother’s Eyes.” Amnesty International.
Some elements of this text to consider:
- FYI Amnesty International is an NGO that focuses on human rights
- The image is dark and minimalistic. Both of these features match the topic and they also draw the audience’s attention directly to the face of the boy. Many ads and images darken the edges of the frame to focus attention on the middle of the text but this ad goes much further – everything outside of the boy’s face and the text is completely black.
- The language is also dark and minimalistic – the play of words “He has his mother’s eyes” is extremely powerful. The only other text in the ad is on the bottom right.
