Some elements of this text to consider:

  • FYI Bill Clinton was a member of the Democratic Party which is more environmentally conscious than the Republican Party.
  • The letter starts in a very complimentary way, “Your strong voice…” and the final paragraph ends on a positive note as well.
  • The letter makes reference to earlier corresponence, “In the statement on climate that we sent to you last November, we recognized — as you have — the need for early action to protect the climate and the importance of incentives to catalyze that action.” which helps the authors achieve their goals and helps them to hold the president accountable.
  • The second and third paragraphs lay specific details of the climate program that the authors’ have put together. There are specific details that the authors have included that justify their findings.
