Before you read the “spoiler” bullet points below take a careful look at the text. Imagine it is a text you are using for your DP Language A Language and Literature assessments: the individual oral, the HL essay, or Paper 1 and analyze it accordingly. Some elements of the text to consider:
- The accompanying video link and image at the top of the text
- The breadth and length of the interview (this whole transcript is likely to long to be used for a Paper 1 but texts on the exam are often extracts of longer texts)
- The use of headings to distinguish between different sections of the interview
- The tone of the interview – some interviews are contentious, fawning, curt, etc. In this the tone is what one expect given the two participants
